
BPE Test Loop has been designed to meet the requirements of AS2417-2001 and Hydraulic Institute Standards, with particular emphasis on testing to API 610 and NPSH testing uses the vacuum suppression technique.
The following details specific testing capabilities:
- Flows to 1500 m3/hr and heads to 200m. Heads above 200m and up to 350 bar are possible with engineered test pieces for specific high pressure testing.
- Motors to 225 kW can be started and speed controlled by Toshiba VVVF drive which incorporates a DOL bypass circuit. Testing above 225 kW is possible using medium and high voltage (3.3kv and 6.6kv) motors and an external power supply. Variable speed testing can also be offered using the VVVF drive.
- Pressure transducer with LED readout or 250mm (10”) direct mount pressure test gauge, 0-250m (WG), with Mirror back, 0.25% calibrated accuracy and supplied with NATA traceable test certificate.
- Vacuum transducer with LED readout or 250mm (10”) direct mount compound test gauge, -100/0/50 kPa, with mirror back 0.25% calibrated accuracy and supplied with NATA traceable test certificate.
- ABB Kent 100NB (4”) magnetic flow meter, calibrated accuracy - 0.2%, range, 0-200 m3/hr, supplied with NATA test certificate.
- ABB Kent 200NB (8”) Magnetic flow meter, calibrated accuracy - 0.2%, range 0-1200m3/hr supplied with NATA test certificate.
- Masoneilan Camflex II 50nb, 100nb, 200nb and 250nb pneumatically operated modulating flow control valves with smart I-P positioners for remote closed loop control.
- Water temperature analysis - Thermocouple with direct LED readout.
- Motor electrical analysis – Hioki 3169-20 power HiTester measuring standard parameters such as voltage, current, power, power factor and integrated values across each phase, with results downloaded to data logger.
- Motor speed indication by strobe type tachometer with data collected by Prüftechnik Vibscanner.
- Bearing temperatures read using infrared detectors and collected by Prüftechnik Vibscanner.
- Vibration Analysis
Prüftechnik Vibscanner incorporating FFT spectrum analysis, Balancing and Laser alignment modules. This is a microprocessor based data collector and analyser with many ancillary functions.
- Noise Analysis
Rion NA 29E or Rion NL14 precision Integrating Sound Level meters fitted with Octave Band Filters.
- 7.4 M3 vacuum suppression tank for NPSH test incorporating SIHI liquid ring vacuum pump with ejector.
- Vertical turbine, can or submersible pumps can be tested using the nine metre deep sump that is within the test bay area.
Software
Test Report and performance curve are computer generated, the report being in Microsoft Excel format. Included in the report is the Performance Test Log, NPSH Test Log (when tested), performance Test Curve and comprehensive noise/vibration reports when these tests are nominated.
Test log and curves are available electronically in most formats.
Operational/calibration procedures are written and incorporated within our AS/NZS ISO 9001 - 2001 Quality Standard.
